2025 Situation Analysis
The South Region is one of Cameroon’s ten regions, located at the gates of the Atlantic Ocean, along several international borders, at the heart of major forest ecosystems, and close to mineral deposits and vast agricultural basins. Its role is economic, geopolitical, and ecological.

- Deep-sea port of Kribi.
- Significant agricultural potential (cocoa, oil palm, cassava, food crops).
- Vast forest and mineral resources.
- Presence of the University of Ebolowa.
- Dynamic and youthful population.

- Persistent isolation of rural communities.
